Why average people thinks they know everything?

The most respected philosophical thinker of all times call sacroties was qoutes saying : the real wisdom is knowing that’s I know nothing

So what’s about you , when you talk to people what’s do you talk about? Are you type of person who have all the answers and disagree to others or on the other hand you agree add always add?
Today we will talk about this behavior

  1. General knowledge is everywhere

People thinks they know because they listen to their friends ,to the news and read different types of blogs that’s ain’t written by professionals.

Take a covid case for instance everyone has a say ,but nothing seems to matter the only thing that’s matters is following regulations.

The approach of topics we talk about is taken lightly yet they affect us in our lives others influence their friends with wrong information and a youtuber tries to get add teaching a subject poorly or from a good source but failure to interpretation leads to get distorted data.

  1. People thinks their smart cause their a bit older

Ever watch a parent argue with a smart kid until a mother or a dad promises a whipping if the child don’t stop asking such questions?

This may be question about god or law and so on and we as parents never agree that’s my child we don’t know but we believe is worth doing.

Or like my mother says we were born things like this and you not going to change them, you see for me we always argue about money and marriages on how expensive this things are and always thinks of a simpler cheaper way.

But the arguments becomes stronger from adults and a bit personal and intimidating cause they have been through it ,my main concern is losing all this money for one day worth it and go back to work and graph again?

  1. They’re not curious enough

When you think you know ,then there is no room for improvement no open mindness and definitely no empathy.

But in order to have a shift you need to be curious about other things that’s seems like out of your reach and facts that’s can revolutionize your life avoid settling on old concepts and be adaptive of change.

You can act like you know but when time to perform comes you under deliver don’t be like that’s ,for myself I have admitted that’s I know so much and I leave the rest to other people I trust and who have my best interest at heart.

On contrary I can take more than I could and act like I know more than I do and remain in the same place for the rest of my life , & entertain unproductive debates and that’s a fake living.

  1. No one see him/herself average

Riding a taxi I can join the debates and only to find no one wants their points to be challenged everyone wants validation and worse from total stranger.

You don’t want to be in this neediness of social acceptance live your own life and cultivate your own powerful ideas and take what’s other people rumble about in general sense with a grain of salts.

And stay away from information that’s won’t do you any good , no lesson or awareness to gain rather stay with your thoughts and eat from the best minds in the world thus you can fled from being another spec of dust opening their mouths speeding corona .

  1. They base their knowledge on assumptions and hear about than reliable source

News on tv and radio can be misleading due to the political play in place and monetary benefit to the broadcaster and the fact that’s this institutions can be government owned say something else.

Yet people still stand by tabloids negativity and terrible news that’s aint newsworthy and tv propaganda and once a person finds himself right once assumes that’s he is genius.

Since average person doesn’t read books except textbooks for formal education and that’s is scemed through for marks ,you cannot take what’s people say to heart and use it to guide your life.

As a person who wants to be better than average you must make a conscious choice on your consumption of data ,don’t diminish people’s views upright but don’t digest it quickly luckily we have sites like qoura and digest with great information unlike

Facebook Qoura has substance people go there to answer people’s curiosity and lack of answers yet twitter and Facebook are just chat for fun and amusement you rarely get good insights unless you follow the right people.

Why being efficient can literally save your life

The days of our lives are when we are living, no matter what are we are doing but we are surviving and hoping for the next day and so on and so on. Now imagine on your days you get your work on time, your schedule on time or even earlier

The parkerson law

The law states that’s your income rises to meets your expenses, same applies to time you busy rises to meet the equivalent time you have on the day. This Law can be forced it hand to work for you by simply stop procrastinating or delaying tasks and when you do those tasks avoid distractions or schedule distractions as well for example don’t go one hour head down on the project but rather split it in 15 minutes then 5 minutes breaks.

This idea may seems like less efficient but trust me it is ,on the other hand if you are a creative person you can simply decide not to get out of your zone until you have finished your verse or your painting or that’s line of code.

Question may be what’s if I work with people ,say you work at SARS taxation government institution for example ,what I saw from an old woman there who I really found she was really efficient  was no small talk and she was literally running to the printing machine to get papers and letting me sign.

When it’s comes to the money there are lot of strategies but it’s easy to start them the moment you found yourself having money e.g. you got a new job set up a stop order that’s will take portion of the money automatically, I did that’s when I got my first high paying job and by the time I got retrenched I had 250 000 in my account. So be efficient in both your financial life and productivity.

Downside to effectiveness of efficiency

Anything has positive and negatives, left and right, disadvantage and advantages, hot and cold your job is to find what works well for which situation is. In studying when trying to do the assignment needed end of the month on the next day you got it ,results becomes amazing but if you do it under pressure on the last minute depending on the type of person you are other’s give terrible results other strive on it.

Don’t run the risk of not getting the work done, I once thought I gave my best when I work under pressure but I ended up studying in a taxi and rarely get a grip of what’s I learnt and as a results fail the tests.

Tomorrow I’m going for a job interview it’s a no brainer that’s I have to be there on time but if inefficient is my habit I can suffer those consequences so I need to get myself on the right track and prep for the big day. It’s not just being there on time but think about the effective respond to questions and when I’m given the chance to ask questions I should have smart questions.

Another problem when trying to be early you lose batch of time when nothing happens to cause latency ,for example I have an interview at 8:00 and I arrive there at 6:30 its crucial how I spend this time cause that’s still a moment of my life being recorded and accounted for. I may have a small talk with others who are waiting for the same thing or read a book on job interview but be careful of not causing myself unnecessary anxiety and so on.

Saving your life part

As I explain in the intro life is made out of seconds and minutes once you finish a task of an hour within 45 minutes you give yourself a 15 minute break to do what you is ever like and that’s true living.

On other hand if say you on a negotiation meeting and your company or you are an independent sales man and you know the sooner you close you get your fat commission or split the difference and hurry to your vacation with your family ,here the sooner the better is the mantra but rule of thumb never allow time to put you under pressure on negotiation but if you have got your number you have to option bargain hard or hurry to the vacation one may lengthen the talks while the other may lengthen the vacation it your choice but when factoring time closing is a good option.

This automatically and temporally save your life from working to actually living , here is the big one as an example how fast can you work in order for you to retire early? It’s can be office work or physical work they both take toll on your physical and mental health so the difference is irrelevant at this point, working fast is not an answer but working hard and smart is see working on you after hours is more important in your life because it will give you ideas on how you can retire early.

On other hand working hard and getting promotions is a great bet but your goal is to increase your income ,take over time but make time for your family either prioritize family and get used to that don’t run away hiding behind your work find balance.

Be efficient on your family thus you will see that’s your job matter but once you retire what’s you will retire for, families become dysfunctional because we don’t know what’s happening in our homes and parents are respected because their the bread winners but children don’t know the values in this home or principles and being efficient in that’s area will reduce corporal punishment and have kids open to you.

I will pounder on this point because it’s important, your health getting things done reduce stress level two rather write your tasks on paper and snooze them if they keep showing up while they’re still not urgent than having pile of tasks in your head.

Me my head have all the room in the world important are written on my phone and I get reminded all the time ,my goals are on my paper I check them when I get bored and sometimes see that’s I need new goals cause I have already crushed those without realizing it.

Parento principle 80/20 rule

You are not what’s people expect of you ,you are like water you can change form to the present positive or negative situation you find yourself in. This lesson is found on 48 Laws of power by Robert Green, be flexible but the above principle applies to every aspect of life.

Our lives 80% of them are spent at work and 20% on our lives. The question is do you like the ratio or you wish to change it, some of us find meaning to our jobs and we are completely ok others well you know. 80% of your income goes to 20% of the things meaning you have one thing that’s waste most of your money and it’s not spread equally and my advice on that’s is to be efficient on your money have those 20% be assets which are things that’s pay you money back. 80% of your time is spent on social media and where your attention goes that’s where your life and money go.

Your car is too old needs constant repair after bills be aware of it ,car is important when it’s comes to people who moves around a lot and their business depends on it other than that’s it can be a real money waster unless you value every minutes of your life but still drive according to the speed limit.

Decisions and lack of concentration

Life is hard, and it’s has a lot of challenges would you rather spend time moving from one thing to another never mastering anything or focus and make what’s you chose your life. I have been approaching life and realized that’s you don’t need to be master of anything in life to be successful except master of people.

Mastering a certain one skill get your mind fixed on that’s one thing while if you delegate and pay talented people you can have a better life the problem with this you need to know what’s you are doing because this people will also rely on you, be credible and influential although this type of person needs to be like a jerk sometimes to get things done so be it ,you cannot be always soft if dealing with people. You only need to balance this behavior and family is not good in this environment unless they can easily adapt and really don’t take offense.

The time it’s take you to make decision on something is the different between winning and failing, there are times to think and if until the due date comes and you haven’t make up your mind you need to exercise your decision muscle and take risks and face the music, pivot and all cause not making a decision is a terrible decision. The game is social

I have a tendency of not liking losing but I still have a bad habit of not weighing the situation before getting in. While you are trying to get things done on time you might rub other people the wrong way in that’s case don’t leave scares on your way to success and other’s will try to stop you on your way because it’s how things are done around here and you can potentially lose your place in that’s place.

Play it cool while you try to not lose efficiency on your own work, on the group work finish your potion on time or even single handedly get things done if the pack isn’t putting the work. This apply to even school work ,I experienced this when I was studying with my own money its became clear that’s if I don’t drive this people we are going to lose marks and when I was wrong at some point I had to pay people who came their bus fee if I didn’t make it.

On the other hand I was just one person stopping the whole project and i’m not bragging here but if I was there and the other person was absent the project would’ve continue and the absent guy suffer the consequences. In short make up for your missteps.
