Focus on where your money come from

If you follow this blog/ website you should be already having my number for whatsapp 0840196532, why because if you deal with me you are bound to make money if you have anything to offer. So in this article I will explain where people should focus on to get their share in the market place ,and if you don’t know we live in the market place world and social media is a market place .For your work you market your skills and get hired so you will get paid that’s pure trading.

So you might have a hobby like mine where you share information like this and yet don’t get paid, it doesn’t mean it will always be like that’s so that’s my disclaimer that’s if at some point in what’s you are doing you can be able to monetize just keep doing it and do whatever necessary to grow and start taking those donations and consultation services now without waste of time lets encourage why you should focus on money.

  • 1 Money is for livelihood love it and ask for it.

You spend money every day knowing or not your live costs money so if you can learn to ask for what is rightfully yours when you help people, then your parent or spouse will stop see you as a burden or someone needing to be spun filled. Waking up in the morning how do you spend your day?Can you monetize on your relationship personally I have taught my boys to charge for most of things people ask them to do, not being sent to the tuck shop but person borrowing their money ask for interest and if that’s is working well focus on it and make money, if I ask them to do some hard work that’s needs an older or outside person they are allowed to charge me so they know I’m their source of income and sometimes they can ask to do something. This apply to you as well reading this Artist or not, charge for your feature, make money out of your friends somehow for spending time with you like here at Spliff for any use of our artists we need money and Durban artists hardly use them because here rappers are broke all the time or maybe they don’t want to invest in their music and they have a bad mindset that being charged is unethical or taken for a fool, well I can say a fool is someone agreeing to help for free. Unless its charity so ask for money or you will wind up liked but broke.

Bottom Line
  • 2 You don’t get paid for being nice and agreeing to anything

Today and like every day I get stupid requests just because I have a studio some stranger rapper want to come and hang  out with me and I said no to that’s. No one is allowed to come over and chill here this is a place of work and my bedroom and most of all my class you can learn more here than simply having comfort as he called it. See I have learnt to say no to most rappers on social media because they take everyone for a fool or thinks we all think alike. I said No to a guy who wanted to do a song with me, I said the feature is R2000 and he put hands on his head and that’s really pissed me off but I closed the conversation politely because he just don’t know me even if I said its R500 ,he was not going to pay so I deal with artists all the time but I try to spend less time with them talking business because they don’t understand it and those who do we are fine.

I know that’s I’m a nice person but other people like what’s I’m doing and recognition that’s I’m getting and thinks they can just come and leverage that’s it’s not possible thanks to Makhula for emphasizing the money part in our brand because the feature or a beat you want from me took time if you don’t respect that’s you don’t respect me and I cannot respect you too then. The best way to start a conversation with people who you respect their work is greeting them tell what’s you want and the budget you have and the service you want or if you scared of saying the budget tell them when you want to do this meaning its shouldn’t be month end ,or you would’ve called during the month end and that’s way you avoid coming back to me and asking me do you remember ,That’s doesn’t work its bad because what’s ever we may have agreed to has change.

  • 3 Don’t do things that’s isn’t worth it financially or emotionally.

We know this piece is about money but if you can’t stand what’s you do to get money ,is just that’s bad ,change it not if you are lazy about it ,but if its pays the bills and you don’t have much kills then improve yourself while doing that’s job that’s pays you. For Music artists if you also a beat maker and beats make you money than songs, do beats more and promote them, If songs get you gigs, do the songs, If Maybe you have a camera and taking pictures make you money and you enjoy it, stick to it and study that’s industry so that’s you won’t be outdated as the technology improves. Learn more about your customers and engage with them.

The best investments parents can do for their kids and themselves is encourage the tuck shops at the home outside building and encourage kids imagination and if it’s going to better the situation at home, if the kid is showing the love of selling help out and get the stock loan the kid and take your initial investment so the kid will keep going, that’s focusing on the money tuck shop is a backup for jobs since anything can happen while going to work or the company itself challenges will be there thief’s and all but you will prevail.

  • 4 Focusing on money also means saving it

I won’t talk about investments, but saving account and 31 days’ notice account is important, stop order is important and don’t do a mistake of saving all your money earlier on and thinking that’s will make you reach, saving of money is not to make riches but to have a piece of my and liquidity for emergencies as well as forself-control and confidence. Having money on the account gives you courage to face life head on and have something to live for excepts your kids but not having money as a problem but a tool to help you navigate through life.

We saw our parents go overboard with stokvels not know what’s they’re doing and it’s really not helping our community that’s much and people playing or conducting it, some steal interests for themselves and its not to save money for anything to improve the situation at home or bring more income it’s just to have more food and but more stuff and that’s why our society of South African is not prospering. I’m not just pointing fingers I know what’s I’m talking about and I’m trying to better myself and trying an antidote and people normally don’t want such cures but try I will and this is the platform I will use to share my unhappiness and ideas.

  • 5 Pension and disability money is not a great source of income.

Government’s controls the populations and they have a basis to do so, as a country we need to be more independent and responsible than taking hands out from governments. Yes others need them and some of us can start from the bottom up by ourselves and we need more of that’s .Once we start and being responsible as a society we can help government deal with community issues rather relying on them for anything as well as in tax payers’ money which is us. If anything to this source of income for kids especially which is us youth of today make kids while we not ready financially , we bonds with our kids emotionally but we cannot provide for them ,how stupid is that’s ? Why don’t we become responsible in bed use condoms and contraceptives? And limit ourselves that’s until I have certain amount in my account then I can bring someone in the world or will try but only then.

Hard as it is that’s the decision I have made , I know there is a pressure at home my parents want to be grandparents at my own expense and I cannot repeat that’s mistake that’s happened to me. And my kid shouldn’t use government money if he/ she is in my life which is my wish ,scamming to be disable and all in order to get this money is a bad strategy as well , work for your money , smart and hard then do good to yourself and others and most importantly live your life.

Other thing we as people are not aware of is this incentives can end anytime so relying on them is a huge mistake ,like now the R350 stress relief fund by govenment may around even after Corona Virus and people will forget thats they were not entitled to this money ,when they no longer want to look for a job because of this so i will suggest not to be to grateful if you are in need of this money but self check and improve your circumstances next time.

  • 6 Don’t eat the mother (principle) of your kids (income) eats the babies (Profits) from your kids (income).

The above subtitle is an metaphor , but you should be able to understand it ,Don’t sell the store to make a huge buck now and stop the monthly and daily cash , don’t sell your rental rooms and make an extra R100 000 now ,which you were going to make any way. Be disciplined and keep putting drop of rain on top of the other that’s way ,you will be using power of time and effort then quick win that’s will take you back a mile away. Keep reinvesting your money until you have more than enough.

Thanks for joining us today on LnM, we are ULwaz No Makhula and we won’t leave you in the same state as before you knew us . Make world an interesting place and maneuver it and be a better individual and stop wondering around and make something of yourself thank you.

5 Questions artists should ask themselves while hustling

Hi Welcome to another insightful episode of LnM , ULwaz No Makhula we might not both talk in some episodes but rest assure we approve together everything that we share to improve your music life and reinforce it to ourselves as well. Now What’s questions an artist should ask him/ herself in the road to success in music ,its depends on where you are already and your aspirations .Mostly we focus on beginners in this channel because we still growing as well .And we realized that what’s helped us get where we are today were questions we asked ourselves and others and applied the answers we got ,so today we want to give you some questions as well that will be valuable to your journey .The only thanks we need is your subscription to this channel as well as pressing a notification bell if you already did we appreciate it. Now here is Curiosity.

  • 1 Why am I attending this event?

We may have mentioned that we don’t perform for free in previous episodes but sometimes we show up in events unexpectedly why that is. A. to network with people in general ULwaz go out to music conferences and I know some other artists do that watch this videos and we happy you on the right path, but do you network? You need to get some contacts and actually follow up on those and do that feature or a beat for that artist learn from how he conducts his music and do what’s he does .Example I went to the street chillers by Dude at Voco Lounge town and Met Shon G as Dj Swing after years of wishing to work with this guy there he was and at this point we were both on the line up so he had to pay attention and worse part I played for him ,I offered him a beat and he gave me his number later on we talked I gave my best beat. Months later we had a Shine On Features Musiholiq Biggest song in Kzn and SA .Dude didn’t pay me the lineup was sick but back then I wasn’t working with Makhula that when we decided to stop attending shows that doesn’t help us. So before justifying your reason to waste your hard earned cash to go to a show ask yourself why. Maybe you have no one to meet and you not going to perform personally its either I’m a VIP or forget it but most importantly I earn for my time and talent.

  • 2 Why am I recording this song?

This point can hurt me as I am always selling beats but I don’t encourage artists to record songs that they don’t know how they going to get to people ,links doesn’t work anymore people have their sites they visit to download music and it’s very sad to say but even on the internet there are gate keepers now. I need to correct myself if  I say contradicting things on some other video I said internet has made the playing ground flat for everyone and there are no gate keepers well I meant that but what’s I’m saying now ,Websites like Fakaza has they’re system to see hot artists to put on as well as other major free music marketing platforms. so every artist need to get above the water   first then every time they release it will be like magic and ULwaz No Makhula has done it so keep watching our videos as we will share how we did it if we have not shared already. Getting back to the point ,are you recording this song to have something new you want to perform or the old song is fine , maybe you got a dope beat now you feel like jumping on it? Our advice if you not going to put everything aside just to push this song don’t record it ,push the existing one ,Pushing a song can take a minimum of 3 months to a year and do that as well when you are mainstream .Other artists are terrible business people they release a new song while they still have a hot song that they can capitalize with don’t be like that.

  • 3 Who should I look up too?

LnM should be your 1st option ,I don’t know how big this channel will grow but for business purposes I can openly leave my what’s app number 0840196532 .I can still manage to talk to a lot of people so greet me and get to the point then we will be fine. Look up to us and look up to other major artists preferably those who runs their own companies  like Rick Ross , 50 cent and many more .why this guys because they know ins and out of their business even if they have a team. Also signed artists like Beast from Afrotainment that guy was going to make it either way by how he worked there was no stopping him. He worked smarts and the guy did something that we can all replicate if you know you going to offend me on what’s app just don’t say anything and don’t respond on a status, Beast for me is that guy you know when we all hustling wanting some info to big artists and got their number by luck and we don’t even have manners and approach as an artist the best way to answer that is dismissing it. Unless you see you have a moment. Look up to business people why, your song is a product and never take it for granted just because you don’t know how to market and distribute this questions require you to take action so even right now you can close this video and go to watch an interview of an artist or business person you admire and as we know now Jayz is everyone favorite ill suggest you go back to old videos though not now because you will get lost.

There’s no success withouth secrifice

  • 4 Do we share as same vision with my team?

This is a hard question that will set you back for years and you need to figure it out quickly since we have mentioned it here .This is the no1 task after this video. You may be the lazy one and guilty one then use this as your advantage and change fast and become a better team player. So how do you figure out you are running with a great team? At LnM we experienced this and as a team we still sometimes  don’t see eye to eye this happens even in business and if that happen its means you are really working because if there’s no work there is no fights ,what’s will you be fighting about? Nothing, this doesn’t means you have lost a vision. See when you and your team are not in a same vision here what’s happens 1. They don’t contribute financially if they do its not on time ,it can be electricity in studio or petrol in a member’s car they just want to work for free  apart from that they don’t want to do things professionally ,you suggest song mastering they say its fine ,you suggest some beat maker no he is expensive ok that fine ,the free stuff that they know serious artist does like registering at Samro they don’t do it for years and we don’t know why and there and there you see to this people music is really a hobby and little few people who knows them they think they’re famous all that illusion get them stuck in one place. Disclaimer our friends might see this or hear it please don’t be offended it’s meant for lecture not personal attack to anyone.

  • 5 Am I good at this?

Self awareness is more important than what’s people say ,yabo this one applies to everyday life are you good at your 9-5 can you do better ,why do I not get promoted and so on and so on. Questions makes a huge difference .Like who am I do this music for? Age, Gender and Geographic. Now internet show people who follows your work everything about them and I know guys who has a lot of female fans even by looking in their comment section but somehow they don’t know how to leverage that .ULwaz No Makhula has both but Dj Swing is strictly males and at 1st this didn’t sit well with me then later I realized I have an audience that all that matters ,Biggie Smalls once said do music for the ladies and their man will take them to his concert and ask them to buy cdz for them as well .Now if I have the bread winner rapped in my hand than I’m way ahead just kidding loll .But hope you get my point for as long as you have followers you good to go. But if you terrible at what’s you think you are doing then you need to pivot .I know a guy who had a studio but wasn’t good at producing he’s now amazing photographer and make a living and travel the world  his company is Fire spark .

You know we give out few 5 points and they take more than five minutes and that means our experience so far is valuable now LnMs go out there and get the answers of this questions we just posed for you. Follow us on all social media as ULwaz No Makhula and suggest to us on the comments if we should be LnM in social medias as well and second your opinion we will consider it. Thank you for watching lets us give you the last point that should stick to your heard Bonus.

  • 6 Should I stop doing music?

Maybe you are a Rapper / Dj / Beat Maker /Graphic designer /Producer /Photographer / Event organizer or Promoter anything music related. All I can say this is not a yes or no type of question. We all get to this point I want you to just anticipate it. I putted myself 10years run after 8 years of realizing I’ve been pushing music for so long and said by 2018 I’m stopping. Look now I was talking to myself disregarding my fans people who bought my t-shirts ,my other fellow artists and I even forgot that my father supported me and anyone has bought to the idea that I’m a musician and my artists understood but didn’t stop asking for beats loll .You see how I was so selfish well I didn’t see it that way because I had other things going on in my life and music came back to fill up a void that we all experience sometimes when we have nothing to do then turn my computer and make music even my girlfriend knew in fact that why she loved me in the 1st place loll now I’m going to stop this am I crazy. I had to rewire my thinking and try to make money out of my talent, hobby or career what’s ever you call it .its needed to add value in my life except entertaining my dopamine and ego .So Should I quite goes back to if I do then what’s is my purpose of living maybe you have other talents and maybe you have developed more love for your job and you see it replacing love for music or you realize you wasn’t good anyway which is the previous point. Ill add before we go ,fans are your customers if you do not serve one another I can say don’t prioritize them in your decision making ,as well as your family they will support you in what’s ever you will do they’re view is not rational is emotionally so do gauge with them as well. And lastly in general never listen to your heart when you take decisions always know heart has nothing to do with your feelings, it’s your mind and intuition and again do some calculations before deciding so you will be logical as well. Now you will ask how? E.g. numbers of hours you spend doing music since its doesn’t pay you do you consider that time a loss or maybe a investment then you can take appropriate action. Well this was a long one thanks for tuning in the next segment is as good if not better so thanks for watching the whole thing ,Goodbye.
